You can ask Find My Buddy to delete your account and personal data at any time, under UK GDPR and Google Play Store policies.
How to Delete Your Account
Use either of the two methods below.
Method 1: In the App (straight away)
- Open the Find My Buddy app or website and sign in.
- Tap Me, then Settings.
- Tap Delete my account, type DELETE and confirm.
Your account is paused straight away: your profile, posts and the activities you host are hidden and you are signed out on every device.
Changed your mind? Sign in within 30 days and tap Keep my account. Everything comes back as it was.
After 30 days your account and personal data are removed for good (see below). Activities you host are cancelled and the people who joined are told; groups you host close.
Method 2: Email (Without the App)
If you have uninstalled the app or cannot sign in, email us:

Required Details: Please email us from your registered account email address or include your registered phone number so we can verify your identity.
Send Deletion Email
Email deletion requests are handled by Find My Buddy staff within 30 days.
Types of Data That Are Deleted
When your account is deleted, we delete:
- Sign-in: Email address, password, phone number and your Firebase sign-in record.
- Profile Data: Name, interests, about me, age, free times, profile photo and town.
- Uploaded Photos: Profile photos and any photo ID you added for an ID-verified badge.
- In-App Activity: Your posts and likes, activities you posted or joined, groups, kit lists, safety meet-ups, connections, invite codes, market listings and notifications.
Types of Data That Are Kept & For How Long

Copies Other Members Keep: Messages you sent to another member or to a group chat stay in their chat, with your name shown as "Deleted member".

Safety Reports & Safety Alerts: Reports you made, reports about you and safety alerts (for example a missed "I'm OK" check) are kept with your name taken out, for as long as the law allows, to keep members safe and to answer legal claims.
